Frances and I
began exhibiting/breeding English Springer’s nearly 40 years ago. Frances
bought Hawkhill Derby Daydream from Judith Hancock (Hawkhill), who
quickly gained her title. I had my first two champions from the
Moorcliff kennels, the dog Moorcliff Regent and the bitch Moorcliff
Sunnymaid.Frances and I will always remain indebted to the Moorcliff
and Hawkhill kennels for their help, support and guidance
over the years. |

Both
Frances and I are International judges and breed specialists. We have been awarding Challenge Certificates in
the breed for over twenty years, and we have both judged the
breed at Crufts. We have also been fortunate enough to be
invited to judge at some prestigious specialty events, both
in the UK and in Scandinavia (including the Springerclub
Club Show and Winner shows in
Stockholm, Sweden), Europe and Australia. |

Germany, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden and Finland. We have both judged all the Gundog breeds at Open
Show level in the UK. |

We
have also interests in other breeds, as we have owned and
shown Cocker Spaniels (making up Sh Ch Mossdew Imagination),
English Bull Terrier, Sussex Spaniel (who won BOB at Crufts),
Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds. |

My wife Frances and I have bred over 60 champions at home
and abroad, and currently we have six champions living with
us at Mompesson. Together we strive to develop those special
qualities in the English springer Spaniel. |
